New Beginnings
Given the fearful, unsure climate in which we currently find ourselves today, we need spaces like this more than ever, virtual and bricks and mortar. Places where dreams can begin, friends can be made, health can be valued and happiness can be found.
For the Love of Wool, Kindness and Joy
Primarily I am a positive dreamer, an uplifter, an artist (former Psychologist). I was working happily from my studio in Appleby Cumbria running workshops and retreats for wellbeing. The shop was a sudden unexpected result of a tragic bereavement in the family. I had to down tools and save the business. I soon realised what a beautiful place it was and I wanted to enhance the ethos there that had been running successfully for over 30 years.
Ethical fair trade wares have always been at the heart of the business. I myself have supported fair-trade both abroad and in my purchases in the UK for many years. I also work in the wellbeing and craft/art sector and thought it would be a great idea to combine the two.
So I rebranded and took the shop to another level, closing the old company and beginning again in the same location with the same core values. This time infusing it with my upbeat, uplifting dreams and expanding the product range. I wanted to create a place where people can come to feel safe, uplifted, inspired and ultimately to spread joy.
